What happens at the end of this station:
The Act of Consecration
When I asked God to grant me the “death of self”, He said:
Your death is imminent.
To break all our barriers to love, God shall ask from us a selfless (total self- giving) act to serve His purpose, which one does purely for love of God. This is where our dedication to love and serve God come together. God calls this act of love, “The Act of Consecration”.
The Act of consecration is when God tells you of the work you will eventually do. This is similar to Jesus' Agony in the Garden when God, The Father, asked Him, as His son, to die to save the world which He so loves. This was first and foremost an act of love on the part of Jesus for the Father.
Whatever this act is, no matter how difficult it may be, this not a test of our love for even this God does because of His love for you. As God explained to me, we have a strong sense of “self-preservation” and this is the only way for us to do what I we really want to do ---give our self totally and completely to Him.
